Mission Statement
Rescue and find homes for rabbits as house pets. Create information and events to educate the public about rabbits as house pets and advocate against the sale of rabbits in pet stores.
About This Cause
The charity was founded in 2003. It has a secure shelter for approximately 80 rabbits where they are kept until homes can be found for them as house pets or they live out their natural lives. It also has a foster program for another 25 rabbits where volunteers keep them until they can be adopted. We currently find permanent homes for nearly 100 rabbits per year. Vrra educates the public about rabbits as house pets through various media presentations and sponsors it's annual "Rabbit Festival" which brings rabbit owners together with members of the general public.
