Mission Statement
Meals on Wheels provides the delivery of nutritious hot and/or frozen meals up to 3 times per week, per area for a total of 6 days per week. (Monday through Saturday). The meals are delivered by cheerful, compassionate and dependable Volunteers to Seniors & physically or mentally challenged people. The social contact coupled with nutrition adds quality of life and longevity of life. Both clients and Volunteers benefit from this relationship. Our service is available to all members of the Community including Kelowna, Rutland, West Kelowna and Peachland.
About This Cause

We are accessible to all members of the Community and our service is effective at the time of registration, which can be done over the phone. Our MISSION STATEMENT: MEALS ON WHEELS IS COMMITTED TO BUILDING A BETTER COMMUNITY BY SUPPORTING INDEPENDENCE AND QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH & WELL BEING. Our GOALS: 1. To provide nutritious, well balanced, affordable and flavorful meals to seniors and homebound individuals. 2. To reduce individual isolation and enhance their quality of life through positive social interaction between clients, volunteers and staff. 3. To engage families and Community in partnerships that benefit both givers and receivers. 4. To provide peace of mind to families and friends who can know their loved ones are the recipients of healthy meals delivered by caring volunteers and staff on a regular, consistent and dependable basis. 5. Provide an opportunity for individuals to volunteer in the Community & through this service improve their own physical, mental and emotional health.
