Mission Statement

Feline Rescue Foundation of Alberta (FRFA) is a no-kill charity, that has been providing rescue, rehabilitation, re-homing and sanctuary for street cats and kittens since 2000. All cats and kittens rescued are vetted, treated for illness or injury, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and ID tattooed. FRFA provides spay neuter assistance to low income cat owners in Calgary and the surrounding rural areas. We are volunteer based and funded by donations.

About This Cause

Since 2000, FRFA has provided: -Rescue for feral, stray, abandoned, and abused cats and kittens. -Veterinary care for the ill and injured, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries and ID tattooes for all rescued cats. -The necessary rehabilitation and socialization to heal them physically and emotionally prior to adoption. -Screening and re-homing for rescued cats and kittens once rehabilitated. -Sanctuary for cats with behavioural or medical issues, that make them unlikely to be chosen for adoption. - Spay/neuter assistance and other emergency medical care to low income pet owners and caregivers for feral colonies.
