The Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub is the next step in the evolution of a strong and sustainable city. Our mission is to build community by improving the lives of all community members through the power of local food.
About This Cause
The Food and Wellness Hub is a central location for all levels of society to connect, access resources, and participate in the greater community. Our impact is illustrated by powerful personal stories and a decrease in emergency food access statistics. When you donate using this portal - ATB matches 20% of all donations through atbcares.com made to Alberta-based, non-religious charities (up to a maximum of $500 in matching per donation and while the $30,000 monthly matching budget is still available) and issues automatic tax receipts to donors (through the Canadian Online Giving Foundation). Our partners Benevity and the Canadian Online Giving Foundation support with the administration involved with ATB Cares such as but not limited to the processing and disbursement of donations, issuing of tax receipts, preparing donor reports, etc., and for these services and the use of their software, a fee of no more than 2.9% (up to a maximum of $250) per donation plus applicable merchant fees will apply and be netted from the donated amount before being received by the charity.
