Mission Statement
The Calgary Sinawik Youth Foundation is the registered charity arm of the Kiwanis Club of Calgary Chinook. The club is a member club of Kiwanis International which is a service organization. Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen.
About This Cause
The Kiwanis Club of Calgary Chinook's primary project is our Bike Program which donates over 400 refurbished bikes and new helmets to disadvantaged youth and their families each year. Our second signature project is our Watch Award Program which donates watches to students of the month at 5 junior high schools in Calgary.
