To provide safe and nutritional food assistance to persons in need using the acquisition of food resources through donations, fundraising events, and collaborating with community partners.
About This Cause
The role of the Hunger Stop is to supply food on a supplemental basis. Recipients qualify for assistance once a month. A typical food basket includes enough food for five days. The amount of food is dependent upon the number of family members. The Hunger Stop`s current catchment area includes the communities of Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills (Almonte, Appleton, Blakeney, Clayton, and Pakenham), White Lake, Innisville (eastern side of the river), Ashton, and Beckwith.
