Mission Statement

In Canada, we are involved in the fight against poverty and homelessness and are focused on providing food, health care services, culturally-sensitive shelter for women, their children and families in distress, and healthy nutrition to our school children and seniors. Our international focus involves promoting literacy through our free schools; access to clean water through water exploration projects; and providing relief assistance, including construction of shelters and establishing free medical clinics in countries facing natural disasters.

About This Cause

Since 1993, Muslim Welfare Centre serving the community irrespective of Religion, Nationality, Caste or Creed. At present operating a Home for Needy Women and Children in Whitby, four branches of Halal Food and Essential Items Banks in the GTA and Inuvik, N.W.T. “Support A Child Program” for the education of poor and needy children in Pakistan. A project “Halal Meals on Wheels” through this project we distribute 350 lunch bags to homeless people in downtown Toronto on every Saturday. “Free Medical Clinic” for those who are no covered by OHIP, like visitors, refugees, students and newly landed immigrant. “Water Exploration Project” under this project we dig water wells in remote villages of THAR desert of Pakistan to provide potable water - the dire necessity of life. “Al-Abbas Mussallah” in Mississauga - prayer facility for more than 150 people, offering Jumah and regular 5 time prayers, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha and Quran classes for children.
