Mission Statement
The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation operates the Dr. Peter Centre, which provides health care - including meals, counseling, nursing, and art/music therapy - to individuals living with poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addictions, and complex medical needs, in addition to HIV.
About This Cause
The Dr. Peter Centre is an international leader in HIV care for treatment and prevention for persons living with vulnerabilities such as mental illness, addictions, poverty, homelessness, trauma and social isolation. Annually, the Dr. Peter Centre helps more than 400 people sustain daily HIV and other treatment, improving health outcomes and quality of life. Clients can transition through all three programs – day health, 24hr specialized nursing care residence, and enhanced supportive housing – depending on their intensity of care needs at any one time. The Dr. Peter Centre shares its renowned model of care internationally.
