Mission Statement
For over 90 years, the Children’s Health Foundation has worked with the community to raise funds in support of the health needs of children and families all across the Islands. Supporting programs that navigate families through the healthy physical and emotional development of children from before birth through to adulthood, we are a steadfast voice for those kids who need help most. We do this by collaborating with leading child and youth focused agencies, such as Island Health, the Ministry of Child and Family Development, and local social profit organizations, to deliver programs that specifically target early intervention, child and youth mental health and access to care no matter how rural or remote a child is located
About This Cause
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is a registered charity that has raised funds to support children with disabilities and health challenges across Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands for more than 90 years. As champions of health for every Island family, the Foundation believes that all children deserve to reach their full potential, working with like-minded donors to transform the way care is delivered to Island kids and their families as close to home as possible In addition to working with Island Health and other leading agencies to fund innovative health projects like Her Way Home and Pathways to Healing, the Foundation owns and operates Jeneece Place and funds a range of programs at the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children’s Health.
