Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes Foundation to support the aims of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes by acquiring the necessary financial resources to meet local youth service needs. The Foundation holds fundraising events and activities annually in order to keep program costs affordable for families, provide transportation, provide healthy meals and snacks and most importantly to guarantee that no child is denied access to Club programs due to financial barriers.
About This Cause
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes Foundation exclusively supports the programs of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes (BGCKL). The Club serves over 8,000 children, youth and their families in 10 communities in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Club programs enhance young people’s physical/mental health and well-being, mitigate poverty, enhance educational outcomes, & help set children & youth on the track to success! Boys and Girls Club Programs have a positive life changing impact on children, youth and families. BGCKL follows the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) Model for Success outcomes measurement system. This system enables the Club to increase the quality and value of programs for children, youth and families and have the evidence to demonstrate this impact.BGCKL uses evaluation tools to collect information such as impact assessment tools, surveys, and face to face meetings with families and other stakeholders. Evaluations offer feedback from the lens of children, youth, families, partners etc. and assist with the development of future plans/improvements. The Club incorporates the outcomes measurement model into training and the evaluation process to promote impacts and outcomes achieved.
