About This Cause

The Women in Engineering Summit (WES) is a non-profit organization that aims to empower women and gender-diverse individuals to pursue their professional engineering/geoscience designation. During the WES annual summits we provide actionable strategies to address and overcome the most pressing issues faced in engineering workplaces, including: - Diversity and Inclusion (e.g., allyship, bias, intersectionality, employee networks) - Career Progression and Satisfaction (e.g., seeking and keeping jobs, leadership, promotion, professional designation, advocating for oneself) - Wellbeing (e.g., mental health, reducing stress, mindfulness, resiliency) - Transitions (e.g., parental leave, changing careers, returning to work) WES goals are alignment with Engineers Canada 30 by 30 Initiative, which aims to increase the number of newly licensed professional who identify as women in Engineering to 30% by the year 2030.
