Mission Statement
The Mustard Seed Mission (MSM) is rooted in Christian faith and inspired by the parable of the mustard seed. Our mission is to nurture hope and dignity, foster resilience, and strengthen communities so that children, youth, and families can grow and thrive. We believe that every person has the potential to overcome hardship and contribute meaningfully to society. By cultivating compassion, empowering individuals, and promoting inclusive support networks, MSM seeks to transform lives and create communities where care and opportunity are shared across generations.
About This Cause
The Mustard Seed Mission (MSM) is Taiwan’s first registered local social welfare organization, established in 1952. With more than 70 years of experience, we are dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families through holistic, community-based services. Our work includes long-term child sponsorship, residential care for children facing abuse or abandonment, and empowerment programs that prepare youth for employment and leadership. MSM also operates a nationwide community service network that provides timely assistance to households in crisis, while mobilizing volunteers to extend care and strengthen social resilience. In addition, we have a proven track record in disaster relief—responding to earthquakes, typhoons, and international emergencies with both immediate aid and long-term recovery support. By combining professional social services with collaborative partnerships, MSM continues to build resilient communities where every individual has the opportunity to grow and thrive.
