Mission Statement
Let's create a better life for children in Nepal! Our mission is to help build up the earthquake affected Nepal to create a better life for children and women in Nepal. Our goal is to help people help themselves: to create empowerment and not dependencies. We are transparent so that all of our supporters and any other person knows what we’ve done so far and what we are currently working on. Furthermore openness and accountability are important principles. We dedicate ourselves to preserve integrity at all levels and across all sectors of society that are involved in our endeavor. Our vision is a life in Nepal in which children and women live safer, more protected, healthier and happier. In everything, we do, we work to ensure that orphans, street children and women in need have a protected space to survive, grow and thrive.
About This Cause
bbuildsupnepal e.V. is a registered charity, but our projects are more than mere philanthropy, it is a personal passion for everyone involved. Each one of our founders - a multinational group of people have a special connection to Nepal, and we believe many of our supporters do as well. It is about taking responsibility and action to support the children - focus on street children - in tangible ways and to empower families and communities to do the same. We help raise awareness on topics such as sexual abuse, trafficking and hygiene. Our goal is simple: We work to improve the quality of life for children. We focus on 7 major areas (alphabetical order, examples on what we do): - Education (school fee, educational material, rent for an apartment for children in training etc.) - Empowerment (awareness, salary for social worker, scooter to ensure mobility for women etc. ) - Equipment (oven, things needed in the dropping & socialization center or selected orphanages etc.) - Health (medication, check ups, hygiene packs etc.) - Nutrition (food etc.) - Protection (awareness, shelter etc.) Empowering women is also a very dear and important topic for us which we address in focused and strategic ways. We are committed to making every contribution count. This means we will always be a lean and efficient organization.
