About This Cause
Ayesha Educational Society was registered in 2010 although it has been functional for nearly two decades. The society was born out of the urge to cater to educational and other needs of the people who deserve it, but cannot afford it. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the service of the community. It has been granted 80G under the income tax exemption act. The society focuses on Special needs and vocational training for women. It also conduct lot of seminars, workshops and awareness programs for people in various fields to make community development possible. AES has been running the skill development programs for women who belong to the marginalized section of the society. These trainings include teacher training, tailoring, mehendi designing, spoken English and computers. Thousands of women have benefitted from these trainings and today they are economically independent and supporting their families. Ayesha Educational Society has under its wing four organizations fulfilling the education and other needs of the groups it caters to. a) Greens Special School is a school for special needs children and it provides free education to about 75 special needs children. It also trains children in vocational skills. Special educators, physiotherapist, speech therapist and psychologist render their services for fulfilling the dream of providing quality services to the needy special children. b) Bharathi Vidyalaya, is a teacher training institute, which works towards economic empowerment of women. It trains teachers and places them in prestigious schools in India and abroad, and has till date trained nearly 15,000 teachers and placed them. c) Center for Social Sciences is an organization which is into capacity building, planning and execution of projects which create a social impact. It intends to work with CSR groups and offer an online program called Diploma in Social Work. Project 72 a women welfare initiative was conceived, planned and executed by CSS for the then Mayor of Hyderabad, Mr. Md. Majid Hussain, in which about 6000 women were benefited. d) National Park for People with Special Needs is the first of its kind of park in India to provide recreation and therapy services for special needs people under one roof. It has barrier free environment with a wheelchair track. It provides free of cost therapies, education, sports coaching and pre vocational training to people with various disabilities like hearing and speech impairment, intellectual disability, autism, physical disability, cerebral palsy, down’s syndrome etc. AES has earned a reputation for itself by serving the special people and has been providing the following services: * Conducted Carnivals with 2000 special needs children from the twin cities and provided a platform to them to showcase their talents and have recreation. It also made other children in these events to interact with special needs children. * AES conducts awareness campaigns & free workshops for health & nutrition, occupational therapy, sports etc to benifit the parents and children with special needs. * AES believes in providing Inclusive Education & have included special needs children in every class room at Genesis High School. * Aqsa Fatima, integrated child of Greens Special School in Genesis High School passed her SSC Examination in 2009. She is physically disabled child with Spinabifida, stunted growth and heart problem. * AES provides coaching to students of Greens Special School & NPPSN for sports training & camps at district, state, national and international level games conducted by Special Olympics Bharat. * Bharathi Vidyalaya has trained more than 15000 teachers in ECE (Early Childhood Education) and also placed these trained teachers in the most reputed schools in Hyderabad & Secunderabad like, Oakridge, Kangaroo Kids, Meridian, DPS, HPS Kids etc. --->> Other services include: (1) Women Empowerment Center This center at Community Hall, First Lancer, Hyderabad is a place for new beginnings, new opportunities and the roots of a brighter future. This center gives under-privileged women and girls from Ahmed Nagar Ward a place to take part in vocational trainings like tailoring, beautician, teacher training, mehendi designing, computer literacy, Arabic/ Tajweed, spoken English as well as other practical skills that support income-generating activities. The center runs classes in the above mentioned course free of cost and benefit lot of women. The center also provides counseling services. It has impacted over 500 women from the community. 2) Concession for underpriviliged school children Nearly 200 Children are availing 50% concession in tuition fee in private schools on representation by Mrs. Ayesha Rubina 3) National United Charitable Trust(NUCT) → Supporting 50 school children partially in Ahmed Nagar Ward → Training Teachers of Moral Merry School in Ahmed Nagar
