About This Cause

The Health Systems Transformation Platform (HSTP) was set up to generate evidence, provide insights and recommend solutions to strengthen health policy and systems that guides policy makers and healthcare providers. HSTP is aligned to the health systems framework, developed by the World Health Organisation in 2007, that comprises of the different building blocks: governance and leadership, information, financing, service delivery, and health workforce. The objective is to: • ENHANCE national and state-level capacities for health systems research and practical interventions • PRIORITIZE a long-term strategy, focuses on key health system components, and build research and design capacities • COLLABORATE with institutions, experts, government, and practitioners to solve health system challenges • CREATE a space for policy dialogue and knowledge sharing among stakeholders. HSTP’s thought is to enhance the continuum of health practice for communities to access, affordable and quality healthcare that enriches their life. HSTP’s expertise lies in redesigning health system interventions that, among other things, increase universal health coverage, aid in resource management, improve the capacities of service delivery personnel & infrastructure, and are integrated, localized and responsive.
