Mission Statement
UDGI Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit organization committed to building an inclusive, equitable, and empowered society through integrated and sustainable development programs. We aim to bridge gaps in education, health, livelihood, and digital access—especially in underserved and rural communities across India. At UDGI Foundation, our mission is to empower every individual—especially children, youth, and women—with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to live dignified, healthy, and productive lives. We believe true development is people-centered, technology-enabled, and rooted in grassroots participation. Our Key Focus Areas 1. Education for All Through innovative educational models like UDGI Pathshala, UDGI Academy, and EqualSTEM, we are building a strong foundation of quality education in rural and semi-urban areas. Our programs focus on: Remedial learning and community-based schooling STEM-based learning through the AstroVigyan Lab Bilingual concept-based curriculum (Hindi-English) Digital learning infrastructure (ICT Labs, DigiVikas Labs) We work closely with parents, educators, and local authorities to ensure no child is left behind. 2. Digital Inclusion & Cyber Empowerment We envision a digitally empowered rural India. Through our Cyber Sangani Project, we are training women and youth in digital skills and cybersecurity awareness. These initiatives: Provide employability and entrepreneurial opportunities Promote safe and responsible internet usage Create community digital champions 3. Health & Hygiene Awareness Our health initiatives like StreeSwabhiman, Swasthya Shakti, and Nutrition Drives focus on: Menstrual hygiene management and pad distribution drives Awareness sessions on reproductive health, nutrition, and wellness Collaboration with healthcare professionals for rural checkups and support We empower adolescent girls and women to take charge of their health with dignity and awareness. 4. Livelihood and Skill Development We aim to reduce rural unemployment through vocational training and entrepreneurship development. Programs like Village Sarthi, Youth Empowerment Initiatives, and Self Help Groups (SHGs) focus on: Skilling in tailoring, digital operations, agro-businesses, and more Connecting youth to local job markets Building self-sustaining women-led groups 5. Environmental Sustainability & Innovation We work to create a greener, cleaner India with projects like: Plastic-Free Villages Save Earth Campaigns in schools and communities Promoting solar lighting and clean energy 6. Promoting Science and Curiosity through AstroVigyan With our flagship AstroVigyan Labs in government and rural schools, we’re sparking scientific curiosity and space education among children. About This Cause
UDGI Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to creating sustainable, inclusive, and grassroots-driven development across India, especially in rural and marginalized communities. Registered under the Indian Trusts Act, UDGI Foundation has emerged as a catalyst for social change by focusing on holistic development across Education, Health, Livelihood, Digital Empowerment, Gender Equality, and Environment. We work with underserved populations, children, women, and youth to improve quality of life and increase access to opportunity through innovative, tech-integrated, and community-led models. Education and Learning UDGI Pathshala Community-based learning centers that provide remedial and foundational education to out-of-school children, slow learners, and dropouts—bridging the gap between learning and understanding. UDGI Academy Coaching, competitive exam preparation, and tech-driven learning for rural students with limited access to resources. Focus on JNV, Sainik School, and government school entrances. EqualSTEM A digital STEM initiative that offers workshops, coding classes, robotics, and logical reasoning training—especially designed for rural girls. AstroVigyan Lab A flagship innovation in rural education, AstroVigyan Lab is India’s first astronomy learning setup created in rural government schools with real equipment like telescopes, 3D space models, VR experiences, and more. DigiVikas Lab (ICT Labs) Smart classrooms and digital literacy labs to promote 21st-century skills in government schools, Panchayat Bhawans, and public libraries. 2. Women Empowerment & Gender Equality Cyber Sangani Project A unique project training 100 rural women as digital literacy and cybersecurity educators. Each of them trains 50 other women in safe technology usage, financial literacy, and digital rights. The first batch is supported with guaranteed jobs or entrepreneurship pathways. StreeSwabhiman A menstrual health awareness and low-cost sanitary pad distribution initiative across schools and rural areas. Also includes leadership and dignity workshops for adolescent girls. Self Help Groups (SHG) and Women Entrepreneurs Formation and support of women-led SHGs in rural areas with skill-building in tailoring, organic farming, handicrafts, and micro-enterprises. 3. Digital Empowerment Computer training and certification programs Digital literacy camps under PMGDISHA-like modules Internet safety workshops E-Governance awareness and access support through CSC networks 4. Health & Nutrition Swastya Shakti Program A community health and wellness program offering: Nutrition awareness Regular health check-ups with local doctors Mental health discussions in schools Clean drinking water and sanitation drives 5. Livelihood & Skill Development Village Sarthi A rural livelihoods initiative that trains youth and women in: Digital operations (hospital/office data entry, account keeping) Tailoring and embroidery Basic computer courses Spoken English and interview prep Youth Empowerment Workshops on entrepreneurship, leadership, financial literacy, and vocational training tied with employment linkages. 6. Environment & Sustainability Plastic-Free Villages Behavioral change campaigns to reduce plastic usage in rural areas by promoting reusable alternatives and waste segregation. Save Earth Campaigns Eco-awareness drives in schools on climate change, afforestation, rainwater harvesting, and clean energy. Solar Lamp Distribution In partnership with CSR partners, we distribute solar study lamps and home kits to families without electricity.
