About This Cause
Support Our Mission to Empower Women and Children Since 2001, the Women and Child Development Society (WCDS) has been a catalyst for change, uplifting underprivileged women and children in Polur Taluk and beyond. Through education, skill development, health initiatives, and environmental stewardship, WCDS has touched over 16,000 lives across six villages, paving the way for brighter futures. Our Services and Impact Education Free tuition centers provide access to quality education for underprivileged children. Sponsorship programs have supported the education of 16,000 students, fostering academic success and lifelong opportunities. Skill Development Over 9,500 women have achieved economic independence through free training in tailoring and computer literacy, empowering them to contribute to their families and communities. Health and Hygiene Constructed 1,500 free latrines to improve rural sanitation and public health. Promoted awareness about reproductive health and hygiene, improving holistic well-being in underserved communities. Environmental Stewardship Conducted tree plantation drives, organic farming training, and environmental awareness programs, benefiting 2,500 children and 3,000 women.
