Mission Statement

Intervening with new parents at three levels i.e. Self, Home, and Community; Self (as parent and caregiver) - parents are supported through activities in self awareness, and self connection. Parents and caregivers act on their roles from connecting to the self. Family (as Nurturer) - Focus on family as a ‘unit of change’ for ECCE practices, handholding, love, respect, care within the household during those formative years. Community (as Support) - Focus on collective support, peer learning from the lived experiences, parents share their knowledge and experience with others, building a community of caregivers. Institution (as safe space) - Focus on learning and facilitation of workshops/ sessions with parents and caregivers practice through dialogical dialogue and different perspectives.

WHAT: Dawn Child Foundation (DCF) is a nonprofit organization committed to revolutionizing early childhood care and education (ECCE) by focusing of parental empowerment. Through innovative programs and initiatives, DCF empowers children, parents, and communities to unlock their full potential and create a brighter future for all. WHY: DCF believes in the transformative power of early childhood development to break the cycle of poverty and inequality. WHERE: DCF operates in diverse communities, with migrants, including urban neighborhoods and peri-urban areas. WHOM: DCF's work is centered around children, parents, caregivers, and educators. By providing training, resources, and support, DCF empowers these key stakeholders to become change-makers in their communities, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and empowerment. HOW: DCF implements a holistic approach to ECCE, leveraging psycho-analytical tools, critical education methodologies, and storytelling techniques.
