Mission Statement
The mission of Ushakiran NGO is to ensure access to education and holistic development for children who lack basic necessities. We aim to cultivate awareness of our country's rich cultural heritage, instill a sense of patriotism, promote healthcare and hygiene, address environmental degradation, and empower them to become responsible citizens. The mission of Ushakiran is to empower children from underserved communities by bridging the gap between them and the outside world. We provide digital literacy and equip them with the latest knowledge in AI, digital marketing, and robotics, ensuring they are prepared for the future.
About This Cause
UshaKiran journey began on 29th March, 2016, when I got together a handful of children from nearby urban slums and decided to make a small beginning in a little room at my residential apartment in Noida. Since then, UshaKiran has worked to narrow the gap between the educated privileged and the underprivileged sections of the society who are deprived of opportunities in education.Currently, team UshaKiran comprises student volunteers, social workers and many other educated personnel to cater to a group of 200+ children and is hoping to touch many more lives in the days to come. Solicit financial support to undertake various activities planned for these children right from providing stationery items, books, uniform, mid day meal, digital literacy and other related infrastructure besides best teachers. UshaKiran requires Funding Support to develop the existing infrastructure of Ushakiran study centre to provide a conducive environment for learning and development of its beneficiaries. The proposed interventions aims at achieving the following objectives • To develop Basic Educational Infrastructure where students from Marginalized communities are able to access Remedial Education, Life Skills Education Digital Education. The educational infrastructure will include well ventilated classroom equipped with Computers, Laptops, proper lighting facilities, power backs up, availability of cooler during summers , separate toilets for girls and boys and a well developed library • To develop curiosity of children in concept driven subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Physics and Chemistry through modern learning tools which effective use Information Technology • To enable students to access wide range of Digital Resources like Audio Books, E book, Visual resources which in turn will expand their horizons of learning and development • To provide Nutritional and Health Support to marginalized children and adolescents through distribution of Nutritional Kits and conducting Annual Health Screening
