Mission Statement
KMECT has under taken to take care of such Internally Displaced Persons by resolving as follows: Fund the treatment of such patients immediately without any delay, as time is the essence for treatment. Trust identifies the right specialty hospital/doctor for such patients, if patients are not aware. Proper procedures has been formed for funding at the same time bare minimum paper work - just to get the brief about the disease & the patient background. Provide facilities for lodging, where ever possible, at the place of hospitalisation. Provide & educate on preventive measures relating to health. The doctors on panel provide assistance in organizing the treatment of the patient as & when required. Have a panel of advisers who are well known personalities in the country - to provide the advice, on the strategic matters, to the trust. All the trustees are well placed professionals. Associate members made from various cities/towns who co-ordinate the activities of trust with Patients, Doctors/Hospitals, Donors, various agencies in the related areas. The trust has made arrangements with many philanthropic organisations for providing the support to the needy. Every one associated with trust as Trustee, member, adviser, doctor etc are working for the trust with out any financial gain of what so ever nature. They contribute/provide their services due to their zeal to do selfless service to the mankind (nishkaam bhav sewa).They all work as honorary members of the trust. Provide & The trust is non political, charitable organization & has no alliance / association with any political party. Working of trust completely transparent. The list of donors, amount received, list of patients & amount released to them is regularly updated & put on net. Where ever a donor does not want to be identified, only the amount is mentioned in the list & donor announced as anonymous. THE TRUST IS REGISTERED WITH CONCERENED AUTHORITIES, INCLUDING INCOMETAX DEPT. ALL DONATIONS TO KMECT ARE EXEMPTED UNDER U/S 80G OF I. TAX ACT 1961 Note: All the team members/trustees/advisers/doctors on panel are working on honorary basis as social service & no one is engaged on remuneration.The service rendered by or through trust, has no legal binding nor the advice/service provided, can be taken for legal scrutiny. The trust does not hold any responsibility for the consequences of the services/advice provided by the trust/doctors panel of trust or wrong treatment by the hospital.
About This Cause
KASHMIRI MEDICAL EMERGENCY & CHARITABLE TRUST was born as a consequence of suffering of Kashmiri Displaced Community in camps spread out at various places in India. It has been established for these less fortunate and under privileged Internally Displaced Persons, who need funds for the emergency treatment in hospitals and/or guidance for proper medical treatment.
