About This Cause

Evening school for poor family children ============================= There are 50 children (30 female and 20 male) age between 11 to 16 years on our evening school. There are 4 teachers and one cook to administer the school. Daily school curricula along with extra curricular activities are being taught to the children. These children are from economically poor families. We encourage them to continue their studies in schools. We like to provide evening meal after study and some vital stationary for them. The cost of each child for a year (12 months) is Rs 3600. This includes the food expenses, and stationary . Providing study scholarships to children to continue higher studies ====================================================== Every year we provide study scholarships to the poor family children who are unable to pay for their higher studies. Every year 15 children will get benefit through this scheme. There is a large demand for the scheme but because of low funds we are unable to help all. Rural girls who lost their parents are getting preference on this scheme. Each girl gets a scholarship of Rs 15000 every year and the duration of the scholarship is 3 years Skill Training to women ===================== We provide skill training on sewing to the un employed women and girls. The rural based girls living without employment are the beneficiaries on this scheme. The women can earn money at their home itself if they are trained on making garments. We teach them for a period of 6 months and provide certificates for them. Thus every 6 months there we train 20 women (girls) for the said sewing project. The cost for each trainee is about Rs 2000 for a period of 6 months. Livelihood women project ====================== There are 200 women who are living under poverty are being helped through this project. We provide small loan assistance to them to promote their livelihood activities. Hence there we find 200 direct beneficiaries and 1000 indirect beneficiaries attaining benefit through this scheme. This project paves way for their peaceful life and improved status. Providing cows for families ====================== We provide cows and calves to the families who are economically backward thereby enabling them to get self-employed by Dairy farming. They also have to send their children to our school and tuition centers without fail. Ultimately the family gets economic improvement and as well the children are getting education systematically. Every year we do add one village into this scheme and currently there are 10 remote villages having around 125 families including 129 children are getting benefitted through this scheme. Tuition Centers ============ We are running 18 tuition centers in 16 villages covering 299 children of which 141 are boys and 158 are girls. Tuition centers are the major motivation tool for the children who are studying in rural areas. All of them including children under CFK scheme can attend the evening tuition at their respective villages. Apart from academics, children are equipped with extra-curricular activities too Self Help Groups- women ============= The Self Help Groups (SHGs) are a set of teams formed by women volunteers. Strength of a group or team varies from a minimum of 12 women and maximum of 20 women .Each group will be allocated a fund amount and they will circulate it among themselves to get benefitted out of it.
