Mission Statement
Empowering everyone to achieve the large scale positive change, through capacity building, leadership development, infrastructure management, technological promotion, developing the local resources in producing the best gain for all. TEAS has been founded with the primary objective to reframe the society where people are educated, self reliable, and playing a positive role through the village level institutions for bringing about a change in the society and the income of resource poor communities. We aim to empower, enrich, educate, develop the local communities throughout the nation through a diverse range of programmes and activities designed to meet the specific needs of the local community being served. Along with efforts towards socio-economic enlistment, we also endeavour to foster the spirit of togetherness, bonding & harmonious living in these communities by educating, providing basic needs and counseling them to eliminate conflict and discord arising out of the inconsequential issues that tend to keep them confined to a myopic view. We are proud to announce that our organization has successfully organised programs, implemented projects with the grant support of the Government of India, from the different Ministries, State Government of Uttar Pradesh, UN bodies like UNICEF, Foreign Organization like PATH Foundation, Barnfonden, European Union and more… The activities have been carried out in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra benefiting over 5Lacks beneficiaries since 1996. TEAS help in plugging out the gap in the government’s programmes and reach out to people from different sections of society who are often left untouched by state projects especially in rural areas. For example, providing aid to migrant workers in COVID-19 crisis. We try to engage, collaborate and cooperate in diverse activities, relating to human and labour rights, gender issues, healthcare, environment, education, disaster management , development process etcetera. We act as a social mediator which involves an intervention at different levels of society by various agents to change social and behavioural attitudes within the prevailing social environment for achieving desired results of change in society. We believe that - "A small Step can bring a Big Change".
About This Cause
SDG: 01 (No Poverty). -The organization approaches poverty through microfinance, sustainable development and holistic programs. -MISSION SWALAMBAN is a program run by TEAS in Balrampur district, supported by Let's Endorse Pvt Ltd, where we aim to deliver 700 Entrepreneur by supporting them through government schemes, getting subsidiary loans from Banks to establish their own business. We also provide a one year mentorship. -Nai Roshni is an initiative by the Government of India, Ministry of Minority Affairs, to build up leadership quality among the minority women. This Project was carried out in Balrampur District, where almost 300 women were trained and empowered about their skill and leadership development. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG:02 (No Hunger). -We at TEAS used to provide nutritious meals to the vulnerable communities, students in schools, homeless, due to pandemic TEAS is continuously serving the vulnerable communities with cooked meals, dry ration kits and more. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG:03 (Good Health and Well Being) -Organising health camps at village level, blood donation drives at district level, encouraging volunteers to donate to save a life. -Focusing over water borne disease in children in rural parts of India. -Creating awareness on Menstrual Health and Hygiene in tribals communities, targeting over adolescent girls, providing free Sanitation kits to practise healthy menstruation. Empowering them through audio video, conducting one on one sessions. -Capacity Building of Gram Pradhan, ASHA, Anganwadi Women, Village Health and Sanitation Committee strengthening village level committee for a better health system. Project Sure Start - in partnership with PATH Foundation, co-partner and funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to work on a sudden drop in the rate of IMR (Infant Mortality Rate) and MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate). -Providing nutritious meals to Kasturba Gandhi Residential School operated by TEAS itself in the remote area of Balrampur district. Where we feed 200 girls on a daily basis, with nutritious meals. -Volunteer Counselling and Testing Centre is a program organised by the organization to inform the people about TuberCulosis, conducted with the checkup camps, providing medicines and linking the patient with the government health department for their further checkups. -Village Health and Nutrition Program is a UNICEF supported program in which TEAS used to provide a regular health checkup at village level providing basic health facilities involving government bodies, providing nutritious meals to end malnutritions in the vulnerable communities of Indian Villages. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG:04 (Quality Education) - Organization runs 2 Kastruba Gandhi Residential School for dropouts girls in the remote area of Balrampur district, supported by Government department under the scheme of Sarv Siksha Abhiyan, Where TEAS provide with the learnings to 200 girls along with their residential facilities, nutritious diet, digital learnings etc. - TEAS also providing education to child labor, rag pickers, street children. Women Literacy Program, (Accelerated Female Literacy Program) was another successfully delivered project by TEAS in support of Ministry of HRD (Government of India) where TEAS provided with the primary level education to uneducated women of Block Sridutganj in Balrampur, TEAS was appreciated by the Ministry of HRD for its tremendous job on taking the literacy women literacy level from 17% to 51.3% in the Sridutganj Block of Balrampur District. - Introducing Digital Learning to Remote areas, Villages, Tribals Community. Providing vocational training, soft skill development, Retail management, Logistic Management, Digital Literacy, Computer Training to youth and Women, providing job placement. - Developing traditional anganwadi centre into modern Anganwadi centre to strengthen the quality of education and increase in the number of strength by providing educational friendly infrastructure and learning material, also focusing on the nutritions of the children to serve with the healthy meals, for their perfect growth. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SGD:05 (Gender Equality) - Working with transgender communities, training on human rights implementing initiatives and awareness into the community. - Initiative on Women rights, Children Rights, minorities rights by implementing projects through government partners and other Non Government Organization. - Working on Women gender and socio economic rights in support of the European Union. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG:06 (Clean Water & Sanitation) - Empowering community through Jal Jeevan Mission an initiative of Government of India to provide tap drinking water to every rural as well as urban household. - WASH and Sanitation program, TEAS with its initiative and in partnership with UNICEF on WASH and Sanitation - providing awareness on the ground on school level, village level, community level on practising WASH. - Water Conservation - TEAS implementing initiative and awareness on water conservation, through workshops and awareness programs on the ground. - Empowering Adolescent Girls and Women through project SANGH, educating them on Sanitation and WASH, distributing Sanitary Pads for safe menstruation practise. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG:08 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) -Empowering women on their socio economic rights, Women Farmer Groups to support the nation economically making them independent. -Working with 1500 Women farmer groups, getting them registered with Farmer Producer Company, providing them mentoring and support for sustainability. -Empowering Women and minorities through Government of India Initiative - Nai Roshni Program - a scheme by the Ministry of Minorities, each year providing leadership development, skill development to 120 Minorities women to make them economically independent. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG: 16 (Peace and Justice Strong Institutions) - Sensitisation of community on Peace and Harmony, child rights and education; gender issues; health, hygiene and sanitation. - Organising workshop on Peace and Harmony, Child Rights, Early Child Marriage. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SDG: 17 (Partnership to achieve the Goal) - Partnership with Government of India - to directly implement the government initiative program to the grass root level. - Partnership with the State Government and district level department to help and support to reach out the beneficiaries through the partnership mode and direct implementation program for the community. - Soliciting Collaborations with UNICEF, European Union, Give India, PATH Foundation and other organisations for better deliverables. - Partnership with National Skill Development Corporation an autonomous body of Government of India to provide skill development, through various initiatives.
