Mission Statement
Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust is a Non-religious, humanitarian organization dedicated to creating lasting, equitable change in the lives of women, children, families, and communities trapped in poverty across India. Through empowerment, education, healthcare, nutrition, shelter, and advocacy, we strive to dismantle systemic barriers and uplift marginalized groups, ensuring access to basic rights and opportunities. Rooted in principles of social justice and equality, we prioritize child welfare, women’s rights, and community resilience—combating domestic violence, homelessness, and malnutrition while fostering skills training, economic development, and environmental stewardship. By mobilizing volunteers, partnerships, and grassroots action, we aim to build a future where every individual thrives with dignity, safety, and the tools to break the cycle of poverty.
About This Cause
Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust: Empowering Lives, Building Futures The Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust (IWCWT) is a beacon of hope for marginalized communities, dedicated to fostering dignity, equality, and sustainable progress for women, children and the elderly across India. With a holistic approach rooted in social justice and community development, the organization addresses systemic challenges such as poverty, gender inequality, health disparities, and lack of access to education. At its core, Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust champions women’s rights and child welfare through initiatives like quality education for slum children, STEM education programs, and literacy initiatives tailored to uplift underprivileged girls in urban slums. By establishing sewing centres and vocational training hubs, the Trust empowers women with skills training in tailoring, handicrafts, and entrepreneurship, enabling them to break cycles of poverty and achieve financial independence. Simultaneously, its healthcare initiatives focus on nutrition, sanitation, and hygiene awareness, ensuring vulnerable families have access to clean water, preventive healthcare, and maternal-child wellness programs. For homeless populations and orphans, Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust provides shelter, orphan support, and social food security through community kitchens and ration distribution drives, embodying its mission to deliver relief to the poor. The Trust’s commitment to elderly care is exemplified through its compassionate programs for old age individuals abandoned by their families. Recognizing the plight of seniors left without support, Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust offers shelter, healthcare access, and emotional companionship, ensuring they live with dignity in their twilight years. This initiative aligns with broader community development goals, including youth programs that mentor adolescents in leadership and STEM education, preparing them for future opportunities. The organization also prioritizes sustainability by integrating eco-friendly practices into its operations, such as rainwater harvesting and waste management workshops. For women in slums, the Trust’s sewing centres double as safe spaces for skill-building and collective advocacy, fostering women’s empowerment and equality. Additionally, homelessness is combated through transitional housing projects, while orphan support includes educational scholarships and psychosocial care. IWCWT’s literacy initiatives extend beyond classrooms, with mobile libraries and digital literacy camps bridging gaps for children in remote areas. Collaboration lies at the heart of IWCWT’s success. By mobilizing volunteers, partnering with local governments, and leveraging corporate CSR funds, the Trust amplifies its impact. Its vocational training programs, such as carpentry and computer skills workshops, equip youth and women with tools to thrive in competitive markets. The sewing centre initiative not only generates income but also strengthens women’s welfare by fostering financial literacy and self-reliance. For slum communities, the Trust’s quality education hubs provide free tutoring, STEM kits, and mentorship, breaking barriers to learning for girls and boys alike. Nutrition drives combat malnutrition in children, while sanitation projects install toilets and hygiene stations in underserved villages. Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust’s elderly care program also includes medical camps and recreational activities, ensuring holistic well-being for seniors. Through relief to the poor, the organization distributes essentials during crises, from food packets to blankets, embodying its ethos of compassion. Join the Movement: Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust invites donors, volunteers, and advocates to support its mission. Whether funding a sewing machine for a woman in need, sponsoring STEM education for a slum child, or contributing to elderly care shelters, every action fuels transformative change. Together, we can build a future where no woman is denied her rights, no child is deprived of education, and no elderly person faces abandonment. By investing in skills training, healthcare, shelter, and sustainability, the Trust paves the way for a society rooted in equality, empowerment, and community resilience.
