Mission Statement
Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT), a non-governmental, secular and charitable organization was founded in the year 1998 to alleviate the different problems faced by the elderly. Striving to strengthen family bonds and promote community-based support systems, the Trust has conceived and established various innovative and need based projects focusing on dementia care, active ageing, elder abuse, social integration, economic empowerment and capacity building.

Our Vision : A society where elders are healthy, happy, empowered and socially integrated. Our Mission: To enhance the quality of life of elders through innovative and appropriate community-based support systems, comprehensive geriatric care with special focus on dementia and healthy ageing, combating elder abuse, skill development, economic empowerment, public education, advocacy and capacity-building programs. Projects : Our ongoing projects include 1.One day care centre for marginalised needy elders & three outreach care centre services for elderly in the community 2. online active ageing programme , 3Enrichment and Day care centres for elders with dementia , 4.Elderly Helplines to provide guidance and support for elders and resolve issues face by them 5 Comprehensive care for elders with dementia and specialized residential care centre for elders suffering from dementia, 6. Two destitute homes for elderly 7. Post retirement employment facilitation and digital literacy and cyber safety awareness and training for elders 8. Training for youth in lifesaving skills , bedside assistance, dementia care Our organisation is recognised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment , Govt. Of India , as a Regional Resource and Training centre for age care in 3 states and union territories in south India(Karnataka , Kerala &Lakshadweep).
