About This Cause
DESIRE Society is functioning in India covering with four states, i.e. Andhra Pradesh,Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi NCR (Noida) with several services in the field of HIV/AIDS, keeping an objective of health development and well-being of children living with HIV/AIDS . The organization focuses on disadvantaged children emphasizing on HIV+ve victims, children abandoned by one or both parents, children of sex workers, truck drivers and children who have been abused and belong to poor socio economic conditions. Our Aim is to reduce the spread of HIV and meet the challenges in the field of AIDS. We are committed to preventing HIV infection, facilitating access to treatment, care and support and lessening the impact of AIDS. Objectives: To reduce the morbidity and mortality of the PLHAs is the main objective of this project. To offer stigma free voluntary counseling and testing for HIV patients and their families. To help PLHAs in antiretroviral (ARV) drugs from Govt & monitor them in drug adherence. To support orphans and vulnerable children infected and affected with HIV by all means. To offer quality treatment for Opportunistic Infections (OIs), it helps CD4 cell growth in HIV+ lives. Goal of the Projects: To ensure a full life potentiality to all the children irrespective of gender bias under the umbrella of DESIRE Society with a quality treatment for the life longevity and skill based education with a job opportunity which ultimately would lead to establish a family life for these children too.
