Mission Statement

The DSPCA's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, while educating and inspiring the public to treat all animals with compassion and respect.

About This Cause

The DSPCA (Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is Ireland’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity, operating since 1840. Each year, we rescue, treat, and rehome thousands of animals - ranging from dogs and cats to horses, goats, rabbits, wildlife, and exotic pets. Based on a 32-acre campus in Dublin, we also run extensive public education programs, and work with vulnerable communities to promote empathy and kindness through animal engagement. Your support enables us to respond to urgent rescues, deliver life-saving medical treatments, and invest in long-term community impact. Whether through donations, volunteering, or workplace giving, your partnership helps create a more compassionate society - one animal at a time. Thank You.
