Mission Statement
Scoil Mochua is a special school responding to the needs of 66 students with a primary physical disability and attending learning differences. It has students ranging in age from 3-19 years of age. The staff provide education and additional supports to ensure that the students can-access education-reach their individual potential-maximize their independence-develop their intentional and independent communicative abilities in school, with their peers, through their extended families and in their local communities. The school wishes to extend their skills and methodologies in responding adequately to such complex and significant needs amongst their students. The school is currently enagaged in an innovative Communication project for non-verbal students
About This Cause
The school is under the patronage of the Central remedial Clinic and follows the national curriculum of the Department of Education and Science. The school is funded by the Department of education and also supported by the CRC. The parents are encouraged to take an active part in their child's education. The Charity is currently engaged in an innovative project responding to a third of our non verbal student needs.
