About This Cause
ASH Rescue is an animal sanctuary based in west Wicklow near Kiltegan and Baltinglass. The sanctuary offers refuge to unwanted, neglected or abused animals and has a strict “no-kill” policy. We mainly rescue dogs, but also have cats, horses, donkeys, pigs, foxes, ducks, hens & sheep. The sanctuary is privately run and depends greatly on volunteer work and fundraising for its survival. On average, we have between 120 dogs and 40 cats (between adults and young uns) looking for homes at any one time – that’s a lot of mouths to feed!
