Mission Statement
The charitable purpose of As Darragh Did is to advance community welfare and development through the provision of support and funding to local community organisations to enable them to increase participation and to promote social inclusion and positive integration across all sectors in society throughout the Republic of Ireland.
About This Cause
Darragh McGinley died on 24 January 2020 with his brother Conor and his sister Carla. This Charity is established by his father Andrew McGinley to keep Darragh’s memory alive through supporting community organisations. As Darragh Did will advance its charitable purpose primarily by inviting applications from grass roots community organisations for funding that will provide them with the means to reach out (e.g. open days and come try us out days), and/or the provision of equipment, goods and services to assist them to further engage, grow, encourage new members and thrive. Applications will be considered by a panel of adjudicators. The revenue to meet approved applications will come entirely from donations received by As Darragh Did, and fundraising activities that we undertake directly. Consequently, activities relate solely to the governance of donations received, fundraising, and processing applications that are judged to advance As Darragh Did’s charitable purpose. The application policy will be available on the website, and by request to hello@asdarraghdid.ie. You can see the number of clubs and community groups that we have helped through your support at www.asdarraghdid.ie Thank you so much for your support to date. Andrew Mc Ginley.
