Mission Statement
Welcome to ChildVision, Ireland’s only Education Centre for Blind Children. For over 100 years, we’ve been encouraging children with sight loss and other multiple disabilities to grow into his/her own person and to develop a determination and resilience to never to give up trying. With every donation you make, you ensure that when a child with many disabilities feels it is ‘just too difficult’ there will always be a way to make it possible.
About This Cause
The aims of ChildVision are simple: Encourage each child to accomplish as much as s/he can during his/her time at ChildVision Ensure that the school and residential environments are safe and enjoyable for all children and staff Maintain a close relationship with every family, parent or guardian to ensure a support programme is built up around the child’s closest family members to plan for a fulfilling life. Minimise any barriers to education and ensure all children are given access to learning and to social, physical and mental development. Children with vision impairment (some with additional multiple disabilities) can attend ChildVision from as young as newborn all the way through to twenty-two years of age, as residential or day students. All children attend ChildVision free of charge.
