Mission Statement

“Giving Hope” organization was founded in 2004 and is the home-organization of the Safra Children’s Hospital in Tel Hashomer. The organization acts as a supplementary service provider to the professional medical treatment given by the hospital’s staff, and as the name states, gives hope for life. The organization was founded to support and assist the children that are hospitalized and their families, to care for their well-being and to ease their daily struggles on the way to recovery. With the understanding that a sick child and their family needs support, guidance, strength, and hope, on their journey to recovery, the organization’s staff arrives each day to the hospital and assist the medical staff during the daily routine. They fill the children’s day with countless, versatile, and fun activities that give them strength, happiness, and hope. The organization holds the activities in all the children’s hospital departments and helps each hospitalized child and their family, regardless of religion, race, and gender, and with complete cooperation with the hospital’s management. The organization works in all days of the week, and with the tens of activities that the organization holds, wraps the children with love and provides them with many moments of happiness, which help them overcome their struggles, fight their battle, and ultimately, win. In addition to all of the activities throughout the hospitals’ departments, substantial support is given to children who are hospitalized for months of long and difficult treatment periods. As the hospital becomes the child’s home, we’re here to care, bring happiness and wrap them and their families, with warmth. The organization has declared it our mission to be an important factor, that support and guides the child and their family in all of the hospitalization period. The Organization’s flagship project, first of its kind, and the only one in Israel, that was founded by the Giving Hope Organization, with the aid of donators, in the Safra Children’s Hospital in Tel HaShomer. In this center, there is an advanced recording studio, which holds the best electronic gear, a control room, a recording room, and an instrument playing room, equipped with the best instruments that are made available to the sick children, the parents, and the medical staff. The center is managed by a professional sound technician from the organization’s staff, and holds daily recording sessions for children from all of the hospital’s departments. The Musical Center provides the children with a happy place and gives them a pleasant hospitalization, as they are introduced to the world of music and sounds that give a lot of hope and happiness. The center is filled with countless emotional stories of children that have experienced moments of innate happiness and optimism, and have drew significant powers on their journey to recovery.
