Mission Statement
Unfortunately the charity is winding down end 2024. The association "les Parrains du Coeur" was founded in April 2003 with the aim of providing assistance to needy families in Israel. We provide support to needy single-parent families or families with 3 or more children. Every family is "adopted" by one or several donors and given monthly financial support (1200 shekels) for a period of one year. The aid is in the form of Supermarket vouchers (1200 Shekels) and is specifically to buy food – and only food in one local mini-market or supermarket carefully chosen by our board management.

We provide support to needy single-parent families or families with 3 or more children. Every family is "adopted" by one or several donors and given monthly financial support (1200 shekels) for a period of one year. The aid is in the form of Supermarket vouchers (1200 Shekels) and is specifically to buy food – and only food in one local mini-market or supermarket carefully chosen by our board management. The families are selected after in depth evaluation by the Social Workers Department of each municipality in coordination with our volunteers. "Les Parrains du Coeur" is a non-political and non-profit voluntary association. It operates through the dedicated efforts of a 30 member team of volunteers who receive NO FINANCIAL REWARDS OR BENEFITS FOR THEIR EFFORTS no salaries and no expenses. About 1500 families have already received our help (which means about 7000 children), and today, we provide support to more than 100 families in 6 cities: Sderot, Kiriat Gat, Raanana, Netanya, Lod and Rishon Letsion.
