Mission Statement
The association assist in all areas of life: Food vouchers and vouchers for clothing, food baskets and cleaning materials, cooked warm food, home repairs and home improvement, transportation to doctors for care and visiting relatives, escort to hospitals including stay alongside the Holocaust survivor bed, appliances and home appliances, basket remedies, wish fulfillment, documentation From the Holocaust, emotional support from psychologists and appropriate backgrounds, reconciliation between distant relatives and friends, escort and physical protection, and holiday support - bringing the holiday feeling and family feeling to individual Holocaust survivors, including even taking care of their pets. The association organizes festive holiday meals during Passover and New Year for Holocaust survivors who have no other place to spend the holidays (since the Covid -19 pandemic has unfortonately started, the festive holiday meals are sent to their homes - togather with everything they need on a regular basis, by the volunteers).
About This Cause
"The Association for immediate Help for Holocaust Surivors" was established in April 2008 by a handful of volunteers who helped for many years before founding the association - as individuals, believing that the state would finally take on the responsibility of helping Holocaust survivors come to the state and not be Holocaust survivors Some of the founders were Holocaust survivors themselves, some second generation Volunteers realized that only in the context of an organization that would provide immediate help (without forms and bureaucracy) those survivors would be able to get what they need.
