About This Cause

Villa Pallavicini is an association based in Milan that since 1996 has been promoting aggregation, culture and social cohesion in one of the most multiethnic areas of the city. Located at the end of Via Padova, for 25 years has been a reference point for the citizens of the neighborhood and beyond, a space of freedom and culture, a first landing place for many "invisibles". Villa Pallavicini is a starting point for many of them, a place that "sees" people, recognizes their rights and supports them in building a new life in Italy, engaging the entire community, through educational activities such as language learning, women empowerment, social integration, and children well-being. The association runs an Italian school for foreigners joined by more than 500 students per year, projects for women empowerment, training courses, interventions to combat children educational and material poverty. The values that inspirate each one of the activities are: social inclusion, participation and reciprocity. Villa Pallavicini works in partnership with all the other associations, formal and informal groups of the neighborhood and of the city, and has developed an intense and fruitful dialogue with the policy makers, the social services and the other institutional stakeholders.
