Mission Statement
Engage Empower Educate Initiative is a non-governmental organization founded in 2018 and focused on providing solutions to issues relating to the effective participation of women and girls in promoting peace, security, prosperity, and development in Africa.
About This Cause
Engage Empower Educate Initiative Founded by Mr. Kalada Belema Meshack-Hart, is a non-profit that focuses on providing solutions to issues relating to the effective participation of women and girls in promoting peace, security, prosperity and development of Africa. Engage Empower Educate Initiative is driven by its commitment to empower women and girls and reverse the gender inequality that exists in access to education, finance, governance and technology. Our work is centered on four thematic areas as follows: Empowering women and girls to end hunger Providing access to Girl child education Empowering women and girls to end poverty and Empowering women, girls to promote peace and security Our strategy is to fight Gender Inequality by providing women, and girls with the tools, thinking and technology required to live full lives and positively contribute to society. In 2021, with funding from Amazon Thrift and Credit Society and our esteemed partners, we initiated and executed the Abuja Food Bank Drive. Through which we successfully provided over 1000 women who gathered in our Office in Jahi, with food packs containing food items enough to feed a family of four for the entire Christmas holiday. In September, 2021, with funding from well meaning Nigerians, we sent over 100 girls back to school in Nigeria. In 2021and 2022, we trained over 500 female nonprofit leaders on How To Build Sustainable Nonprofits with funding from Connected Development (CODE) and other partners. Our Annual African Women Summit brings together a thriving community of women from various African countries to brainstorm, and share ideas towards achieving the SDGs. The Third edition in Rwanda this year, had over 300 women from over 18 African countries in attendance. We also sent 10 girls back to school in Rwanda Through our SHE Tech Hub, we are equipping 10 underserved girls with FREE Tech skills required to thrive and take up careers in Technology. Also we are scaling up the project to take 100 girls in Lagos by the end of 2022. We have also began our Access to Finance series for Women Led MSME, the idea is to help women led MSME develop the capacity required to access these funds and ensure they get the required knowledge of financial institutions in which these funds are domiciled and how to get them via mentoring and coaching, we are starting with 500 women in Lagos
