About This Cause
PAGE Foundation is a distinguished local non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting women’s equal rights to education and empowerment across Pakistan. Recognized as a Gender Lead Organization (GLO), PAGE champions transformative initiatives that provide adolescent girls and women access to quality education, digital skill development, and the tools needed to make informed decisions, empowering them to lead meaningful and impactful lives. Since its inception, PAGE has been at the forefront of initiatives that have impacted the lives of children, young girls, women, refugees, and the overall resilience of communities, particularly those vulnerable to challenges like climate change and flooding. To date, PAGE has established 159 Star Schools, providing free education to out-of-school children, with 5,716 students currently enrolled and over 6,000 graduates. PAGE has successfully led interventions across the country to address critical challenges faced by women and girls. These initiatives focus on helping girls stay in school, acquire essential skills, secure dignified livelihoods, and access mentorship and counseling. PAGE also prioritizes mental well-being, empowerment, and resilience-building, ensuring that its programs foster lasting, meaningful change. With over a decade of expertise, PAGE has become a driving force for change, working in collaboration with an extensive network of esteemed partners. These include government departments, leading corporations, local and international donors, and key stakeholders. PAGE’s partnerships bolster the efficiency and credibility of its programs, particularly in reaching Pakistan's remote and underserved areas. To ensure inclusivity and maximum impact, PAGE designs its programs with a minimum target of 60% participation from young girls and women within local communities. PAGE’s interventions adopt a holistic approach that integrates education, technology, entrepreneurship, mental health, climate change, empowerment, and employability, ensuring that gender inclusivity is embedded across all areas of its work. Under visionary leadership, PAGE has earned its place as a trusted partner of the Government of Pakistan in Non-Formal Education. It is an active member of the Girls Education Taskforce and the Steering Group for Digital Gender Inclusion Strategy Implementation. Its esteemed donors and technical partners include the Malala Fund, Education Cannot Wait (ECW), Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), International Development and Relief Fund (IDRF), Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) Foundation, L’Oréal Funds for Women, UN Women, Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), King’s Trust International, and many others. Through its unwavering commitment to gender equity and empowerment, PAGE continues to create a future where girls and women in Pakistan, especially from remote and underserved communities can utilize their full potential.
