Being a non-profit organization, Virlanie Foundation relies on the generous help of its friends and donors to support its mission to take care and look after street children.
About This Cause
Founded in 1992, Virlanie Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, child-caring Filipino organization that protects, loves, and empowers the children in need of special protection. Since it started, Virlanie Foundation, Inc. has helped, 22,000 children. While the government provides support to these disadvantaged children, it is limited and does not cover other needs that will make sure their brighter future. Virlanie Foundation, Inc. is one of the biggest partners of DSWD and local government units in protecting and securing the needs of these children through holistic care. Through partnerships and donations, Virlanie is able to provide support that will love, protect, and empower these children to help them reach their full potential and become a responsible member of the society. Below are the seven (7) pillars of Virlanie Foundation, Inc. 1. Community – A community-based programs that works to prevent children and youth from being at risk or in conflict with the law. 2. Street – It empower children, youth and families to break free from the streets. 3. Residential – Children and youth who are at risk are placed and raised in age-age-appropriate homes with a family-oriented environment that fosters a sense of belonging and identity. 4. Health – Our medical and health programs help children and youth in thrive in their physical development. 5. Education – The children and youth in our care are sent to schools to give them a competitive advantage in securing their future. 6. Integration – We work to reunite children and youth with their families or shepherd their integration into society. 7. Advocacy – Virlanie actively promotes and lobbies Congress and policymakers on behalf of children’s rights. For the past 28 years, Virlanie has been able to do all these through the support of kind-hearted individuals, and generous, socially responsible corporations. Virlanie also seeks to grow its Endowment Fund to perpetually continue its work even during years when donations are low.
