Mission Statement
Our fundamental philosophy is that all children have the potential to learn and be successful. We emphasize individual abilities rather than limitations. We place great importance on the acceptance of children with a wide spectrum of learning profiles, including those who are gifted and talented, children who are average or typical learners, children with mild, moderate, and significant special education needs, and children who just learn differently. We believe in the power that is within teachers, the curriculum, and the school’s systems in shaping each and every child’s school experience. At One World School, our students will develop empathy, compassion, and respect for a wide range of human diversity in abilities, all of which are necessary to meaningfully participate in and contribute to the global community.
About This Cause
As more local and international families discover One World School, our enrollment and programs continue to grow. So many children with special needs fail and are rejected, bullied, expelled, or just left out in many schools. One World School welcomes so many of these children with open arms, promising that they will thrive and learn together with their typically developing classmates. Within the next few months, One World School will begin its next facilities expansion project. This includes the addition of classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, outdoor playground, and parking spaces. When this project is complete, we will be able to add the middle and high school programs to our existing elementary school. With your continued support, One World School will be able to provide for more students who need a school like ours, a school that gives hope. To date, we are the only school in Manila that welcomes and educates a full range of children of all abilities, including those with significant special education needs, gifted and talented students, and those who just learn differently.
