Mission Statement
The Charity has the following aims: - To support those affected by Long COVID in Aragon, being a meeting, information and dissemination point for patients. - Working with institutions, professional associations and parliamentary groups in Aragon in the recognition of the disease, information and training for health professionals, access to quality health care and rehabilitation, both motor and cognitive, in Long COVID units spread throughout the different provinces of Aragon, the promotion of research in Long COVID in our Autonomous Community, the official registration of patients through Primary Care, the creation of specific patient care protocols, and any other aspect that will improve the health and quality of life of those affected by Long COVID. - To participate in the Patient Forum in order to be able to work with all the patient charities in Aragon and share experiences. - To promote the search for treatments through research to treat Long COVID.
About This Cause
The Charity is managed and represented by a Board of Directors consisting of the following positions: - President. - Vice-president - Treasurer. - Secretary. - Two members. The Charity carries out the following activities. - Meetings with institutions, parliamentary groups, professional associations, trade unions, ministries, etc. - Creation of webinars or other training activities to help spread the knowledge of the disease, as well as all kinds of support materials for those affected by Long COVID and their phyicians. - Activities in the press and social networks to help spread the knowledge of the disease and reach more people affected by the disease in Aragon and elsewhere. - Distribution of information leaflets and general information in pharmacies, health centres, professional associations, etc. - Generate collaboration agreements with several entities that can help to improve the quality of life of those affected, or contribute to spreading the knowledge of the disease among health professionals and society in general, such as research groups, Universities, etc. - To look for synergies with companies related to the world of health, laboratories, etc. - To cooperate with other Long COVID Charities in Spain to have more strength. - All those relevant to the aims and proper functioning of the association such as, for example, the opening of a current account for the purpose of receiving membership fees, or taking out civil liability insurance for the activities of the Board of Directors.
