Since its foundation, ÖRAV has been has been operating in 81 cities of Türkiye and has provided 17 different 1 to 10-day training programs to teachers with the capacity of 334 teacher trainers residing in 51 different cities and who are also state school teachers, specially selected and equipped with formal-informal adult learning methodologies and mentoring. ÖRAV has worked with teachers in approximately 12 thousand groups and provided 2.1 million hours of training. It has the operational capacity to train 3,000 teachers simultaneously in 81 provinces. Its online training platform has 60,000 active users. In 2022, 41,565 teachers participated in ÖRAV trainings. Besides ÖRAV's face-to-face trainings, ÖRAV’s online learning platform eKampus (www.ekampus.orav.org.tr) that provides teachers a long-term education opportunity and a platform to share and discuss their experiences with their colleagues have 13.000 active registered users. eKampus was set up in 2010; updated and improved in 2019 with a more user-friendly interface and content. ÖRAV also has a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Education. Via this protocol, our training programs are displayed in the Ministry of National Education’s in-service training system for teachers and teachers individually and voluntarily apply to participate. After they complete their training successfully, the Ministry of Education provides a Certificate of Completion. While serving the professional learning needs of teachers, ÖRAV tries to build a “collective learning culture” within the schools that start from the teachers and include students, principals and other staff at school as well. For the effects of the training to be sustainable, ÖRAV believes that it is crucial to make teachers learn from each other; instead of “teaching” them. ÖRAV is a partner of Aflatoun International where Social and Financial Education Training (applied in 124 countries) for teachers is provided. ÖRAV has been granted Special Consultative Status by the ECOSOC of the UN in 2016 and is a signatory of the Global Compact since then.
