Mission Statement

CO CF “Nove Misto” exists to support people and communities affected by war, humanitarian crises, and social disruptions. Our mission is to provide integrated assistance that bridges emergency response and long-term recovery — from meeting basic needs to restoring critical infrastructure, creating safe environments, and strengthening local resilience. We deliver aid that goes beyond survival: ensuring access to clean water, shelter, healthcare, education, livelihoods, and psychosocial support. Our actions are grounded in the principles of humanity, neutrality, independence, and impartiality, and aligned with the Core Humanitarian Standard and international humanitarian law. We believe in ethical management, collaboration, and accountability. Every project we implement is transparent and respectful of human dignity and rights. We aim to be a trusted partner to communities, donors, and organizations working for sustainable recovery and social justice. We envision a world in which every person and every community affected by conflict has access to the resources, care, and opportunities needed for a safe, dignified, and sustainable life. CO CF “Nove Misto” strives to become a next-generation humanitarian organization — strong, agile, professional — capable of responding to emergencies and building long-term community resilience. We are building an institution that is trusted by people, communities, and donors for its transparency, ethical governance, contextual expertise, and innovative problem-solving. Our vision includes: - Fostering resilient communities capable of rebuilding and thriving independently; - Mainstreaming human rights, gender equality, inclusion, and environmental responsibility in all we do; - Expanding our reach across Ukraine and, when needed, internationally; - Setting high standards for effectiveness, transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.

About This Cause

CO CF “Nove Misto” is a Ukrainian humanitarian non-profit organization established in 2022 in response to the devastating consequences of the full-scale war. We work across the Kharkiv region — including de-occupied and frontline communities — to assist people who have lost their homes, access to clean water, food, healthcare, and basic safety. We do not just deliver aid — we restore dignity, offer a new start, and build the foundations for sustainable recovery where destruction once prevailed. Our work includes: - Humanitarian aid distribution (food, hygiene items, clothing, medicines, baby food); - Emergency and medium shelter recovery (Emergency Shelter Kits, window and roof replacement); - Infrastructure restoration (wells, dormitories, local administration centers, service facilities); - Restoration of access to clean drinking water (e.g., “Clean Water – Healthy Community” project); - WASH support for both communities and healthcare institutions; - Psychosocial support for children (rehabilitation trips, informal education); - Long-term support to IDPs, elderly people, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. Between 2022 and 2024, we have: - Implemented 21 projects totaling over 600,000 USD; - Reached over 25,000 beneficiaries; - Distributed over 250 tons of essential aid; - Repaired more than 70 houses and apartments, including structural elements; - Restored 59 community wells, bringing safe water to thousands; - Rebuilt a CNA (Administrative Services Center) and a dormitory for IDPs. We operate with full transparency and accountability, guided by comprehensive internal policies aligned with the Core Humanitarian Standard — including anti-corruption, gender equality, financial and procurement policies, MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning), child safeguarding, feedback and complaints mechanisms, and codes of ethics for staff and third parties. Our approach is human-centered. All projects are rooted in local needs, developed in cooperation with communities and authorities, and implemented by a skilled multidisciplinary team — including logisticians, MEAL experts, project managers, engineers, and accountants. We work only with trusted contractors who have proven expertise in crisis contexts. Our principles: - Humanity — we prioritize people’s dignity and urgent needs; - Neutrality — we are not affiliated with any side of the conflict; - Independence — we act based on needs, not influence; - Impartiality — we serve all people without discrimination. Our vision is a world where every community is safe, resilient, and dignified. We aspire to become one of Ukraine’s leading humanitarian actors — and to expand globally — delivering effective, transparent, and sustainable recovery solutions for people affected by crises. We have already proven our ability to work efficiently under the most difficult conditions. And we are only getting started.
