Mission Statement

The mission of the RCA is to expand the frontiers of knowledge in art and design through research, teaching and knowledge exchange. As the world grapples with rapid urbanisation, the effects of climate change, the implications of artificial intelligence, and the need for ethical responsibility within all art and design practice, the RCA must be in the vanguard of providing design and technological answers to these challenges. Sitting firmly at the pinnacle of the world’s creative and cultural industries, the RCA is singularly well placed to do this and to continue educating the next generations of talent.
