Mission Statement
Empowering communities through education and opportunity. Axis Educational Trust exists to advance the education, well-being, and life chances of children, young people, and families, particularly from disadvantaged and underrepresented communities, by providing access to high-quality supplementary education, employability training, and holistic wellbeing support across the UK.

Axis Educational Trust is a dynamic, forward-thinking, and inclusive UK-registered charity dedicated to transforming lives through supplementary education, skills development, and social enrichment. Since our founding in 1994, we have worked tirelessly to empower children, young people, and disadvantaged families by addressing educational inequality and fostering opportunity. With centres across London, Medway and Cardiff, we currently operate 5 community-focused tuition centres and a range of outreach programmes that help underserved learners realise their academic potential, grow in confidence, and become positive contributors to society. What We Do 1. Supplementary Education & Tuition Centres Affordable or free tuition in English, Maths, and Science (KS1–GCSE, including 11+ and A-Level prep) Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs), small group teaching, and bilingual support Evening, weekend, and holiday classes supported by interactive platforms like IXL, Literacy Planet, BOFA Delivered by trained tutors, many of whom are former students, NEET youth, or refugee teachers 2. Holiday & Enrichment Programmes Easter & Summer Camps combining sport, art, mentoring, and learning Free nutritious meals for children during school holidays Monthly mock exams to assess readiness for SATs, 11+ and GCSEs Cultural trips, awards ceremonies, and competitions that spark ambition 3. Employability & Adult Learning ESOL and Functional Skills classes for refugees and job seekers Work experience and teacher training programmes for overseas-qualified teachers Tailored pathways for NEET youth, including career coaching and academic support 4. Mental Health & Social Wellbeing Arts & sports projects promoting resilience, creativity, and mental health Mentoring & peer support for vulnerable children Safe and supervised environments to reduce exposure to exploitation and street crime Why Our Work Matters Children and families from marginalised backgrounds often fall behind due to: Financial hardship, especially during cost-of-living crises Language and cultural barriers Limited access to extracurricular support Mental health issues or social exclusion At Axis, we bridge the gap. We help learners not only catch up but also excel—with services that complement formal education, support families in crisis, and build resilient communities. Our Impact (2023–2024) 295 students received free or subsidised lessons 380 arts & sports sessions delivered 90 youth/adults completed employability training 450 free meals distributed during the holidays 85% of regular primary/KS3 students improved in school 100% of GCSE students achieved Grades 5–9 65% of employability learners entered work, training or education Real Stories.
