Sheffield Futures is a charity supporting young people to feel well, have a voice and get into the training, education or work that’s right for them.
About This Cause
Sheffield Futures has been supporting young people across Sheffield since 1995. We work with 11-25 year olds, offering a range of services focused on mental health and wellbeing, employability, and careers education. At the heart of our wellbeing offer is Door 43, which supports 13-25 year olds to feel confident, comfortable, and able to enjoy life. Through counselling, wellbeing activities and social prescribing, our friendly, skilled team ensures that every young person feels heard, supported, and never judged. We’ve recently expanded Door 43 with our Early Support Hub - a preventative, early intervention service based on a hub-and-spoke model. Through group work with 11–25 year olds, we focus on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and how emotional wellbeing is connected to wider social issues. Our Employability service supports 16-25 year olds to explore their options and move into training, education or employment. We don’t give instructions; we offer guidance, because we believe each person’s journey is unique. Young people are matched with dedicated Work Coaches who take the time to understand their goals and circumstances. We also provide expert careers information, advice and guidance, helping young people apply for apprenticeships and further or higher education. Our independent, impartial advisers work across schools in Sheffield, offering one-to-one appointments and drop-in support. Today’s young people are facing more complex challenges than ever before, and we’re here to help them feel well, find their voice, and build a future that’s right for them.
