Our mission is to bring people to dance and dance to people through an enterprising and innovative approach to community engagement, artist development, producing great art and dance leadership.
About This Cause
East London Dance is the leading producer of creative dance experiences for the people of east London and beyond. We have a 30 history providing the very best dance opportunities to those least likely to receive them. Our vision is to build a lasting community where people are socially, artistically, physically and mentally empowered and inspired through dance and collaboration. We do this through four pillars: being a locally rooted dance development organization; discovering and nurturing the next generation of emerging artists and entrepreneurial producers; commissioning and staging great art and championing the importance of dance. Each year we reach audiences of 54,000; 2,400 participants and mentor over 70 artists.
