About This Cause

SEED Madagascar (Sustainable Environment, Education & Development in Madagascar) is an award-winning UK-registered charity (No. 1079121) dedicated to transforming lives in southeast Madagascar. For over 25 years, we’ve worked alongside local communities in the Anosy region, delivering sustainable development and conservation projects that create real, lasting change. From building schools and improving healthcare access to protecting Madagascar’s unique biodiversity and promoting sustainable livelihoods, our locally-led initiatives address urgent challenges while empowering communities for the future. By integrating efforts across education, health, environment, and economic development, we amplify impact and create resilient communities. We believe in solutions driven by the people they serve. Every project is developed and led by our Malagasy staff, ensuring culturally relevant, community-owned progress. Through partnerships, skill-sharing, and sustainable strategies, we are not only alleviating poverty and protecting the environment but also laying the foundation for long-term change. Our Five Key Programs: - Community Health: Improving maternal and child health, sexual reproductive health and rights, malnutrition, and community health access - Education: Sustainably building and furnishing schools - Sustainable Livelihoods: Promoting income generation and economic resilience through training and upskilling - Environmental Conservation: Protecting biodiversity through protection and expansion - WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene): Ensuring access to clean water, improved sanitation conditions, and healthier hygiene practices By supporting SEED Madagascar, you’re investing in people, planet, and progress. Your donation fuels education, health, conservation, and economic opportunities—helping to break the cycle of poverty while safeguarding Madagascar’s irreplaceable environment.
