Mission Statement
Compassion Direct has been a registered charity, since 2004 based in Naseby, Northampton UK, helping children and families in developing countries who require our support. We consult with local people in shanty towns, with refugees, rural & mountain schools in Africa or South America, providing wells, workshops, water, fruit trees & educational materials. We have built a woman and child development centre in Argentina, a new school on Ashanti Ghana, a Sewing Workshop in rural Rwanda. We are currently building a community of traditional round houses in a safe area of S Sudan to resettle up to 600 refugees. We also collect & send aid to Refugee camps in Syria & war-torn areas. Our aim is to assist people to live independent useful lives. We achieve our objectives by working with community groups & organizations who require external funding & support. Where necessary we create & support new initiatives & work with families to acquire the skills necessary for independent living. Compassion Direct believe that we live in an interdependent world & we aim to reduce our carbon footprint & promote good environmental practice internationally. All our projects are researched by UK trustees and funding is delivered directly to projects bypassing other agencies. Compassion Direct ensures that the money you give goes directly to those who need it most. We have no paid employees & are entirely dependent upon voluntary contributions.
About This Cause
Compassion Direct work for the relief of poverty, the advancement of health and education for children and communities in developing countries mainly, but not exclusively, by promoting sustainable development, recycling, biodiversity and the use of renewable energy resources.
