To reach out and serve the marginalised, vulnerable children and adults, less privileged and poor families in the remotest part of the world.

About This Cause

The Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ founded in Nigeria and operational with over 1000 Sisters in 14 countries, is a Religious Institute of Papal status. The Congregation mission and vision is care and support for children, women, and marginalised groups such as persons with disability, elderly, people living with HIV & AIDS and homeless. The Congregation focuses on Education through nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary level schools, Pastoral care programme through feeding the poor and homeless, Capacity building through micro finance, apprentice and skills acquisition programmes for the poor families' and young people, single mothers and Healthcare through hospitals. It runs orphanages for destitute, retirement homes for elderly lay people, residential homes for mentally challenged, prison ministry, rescued street children, children living with HIV & AIDS, children with disability and providing them shelter, food, healthcare and education. It works with children and women in remote rural and impoverished areas to maximise and widening their learning and socioeconomic opportunities. Our congregation have over 250 grade school kids, 120 high school children and 30 nursing students under our care for support. The Congregation has a base in the United Kingdom with headquarter at Birmingham and working with homeless, Refugees and Asylum seekers in England, Ireland, and Scotland.
