Mission Statement
Our PTA aims to provide our pupils with regular fun and accessible events that promote community and wellbeing. The funds we raise through the hard-work and dedication of our busy volunteers go directly back to our pupils and families, providing them with enriching experiences, lower cost access to trips and events and some fun, memorable school moments!
About This Cause
We are the Parent Teacher Association for St Nicholas Catholic School in Exeter. We are a small school for approx 320 pupils from 3-11 years old. Our members are busy parents and teachers who give up their time to enrich our children's school experience and provide them with fun, community based, activities, experiences and treats. Our over-arching fundraising goal is to improve the outdoor learning space and provide resources that make it accessible for all children. Previous years of fundraising resulted in the building of an outdoor classroom and we wish to continue to add and improve the schools outdoor space with growing boxes for classrooms, outdoor seating and shelter, seating, replacing play structures. Our most immediate fundraising target is to buy wellington boot storage for each classroom and provide a welly exchange for families so that our pupils are able to access the outdoors in meaningful and involved ways throughout the year. We organise regular small fundraisers at school to work towards our fundraising goal but we have many commitments such as; helping with coach transport costs, providing class budgets for teachers to spend on enriching curriculum experiences or resources, leavers celebrations and breakfasts during Year 6 exams. As well as aiming to regularly provide some fun and memorable events and celebrations for our pupils. Any donation that you can make to us will be greatly appreciated and go a long way towards reaching our goals!
