Mission Statement
To rescue and find the RIGHT home for German Shepherd Dogs and to educate the general public about this wonderful breed and encourage better relations between people and canines.
About This Cause
Garbo's German Shepherd Dog Rescue (GGSDR) is a non-profit volunteer organisation, dedicated to finding the RIGHT home for every dog in our care. We take in unwanted and ill-treated GSD's (GSD crosses and other breed where necessary) and provide shelter, care and medical treatment (if required) until we can find them a secure and loving home. We promote responsible dog ownership and provide an aftercare advice, support and guidance service for the new owner. All prospective new owners will be home checked. This is to ensure that the home is safe for our dogs and so that we can get a better idea as to which of our dogs will match your circumstances and lifestyle. We also promote spaying and neutering to prevent more unwanted puppies. The GGSDR does not receive any government funding and relies entirely on volunteers, fundraising and charitable donations.
